What’s up, babes, we’re back with more Boujee Boss hacks! The time has come, it is officially the first day of summer! Unfortunately, it may not feel like such with everything going on in the world right now. But luckily for you, you have me!! I don’t want my Boujee Bosses to be bored in the house and be in the house bored all summer long. So, I have compiled a short list of activities to put on your Quarantine Summer Bucket List that are sure to make Summer ’20 one to remember (in a good way – cuz it’s been memorable, but….y’all know). Let’s jump right in:
Have a Picnic
You can do this right in your backyard (or your balcony) and it incorporates something everyone loves – food! This is especially a great idea for all the lovers out there to keep the spice going in your relationships. Get you a lil blanket (because ain’t nobody eating on straight grass, fam), one of them woven baskets, and food of course! We encouraging all the High School Musical 2 golf course vibes over here (only real legends understand). Enjoy!
Go to a Drive-in Movie
I’ve always found the idea of drive-in movie theaters so dope! I mean, you get to stay cozied up in the car, having your own space and you get to bring your own food (I did that in regular movie theaters but…) all while watching films on the huge screens. Talk about an aesthetic! Look up the closest drive-in movies near you, take your friends, your boo, or your mama and go watch some movies, sis!
Try Glamping
Alright, so I first heard of “glamping” when I watched Raven Elyse’s YouTube vlog, and I fell in love immediately! As I’m sure you can imagine, ya girl is not very in tune with nature, I do not like being near trees and woods unless I’m eating at one of my family cookouts. In the vlog, they had an outdoor kitchen and slept in a yurt (a round, glamourous tent).
(They can have various designs, but you get the picture.)
They even had animals around that they could feed (nice ones like goats and stuff). This is definitely a great idea for a Boujee Boss that likes adventure!
Take a Spontaneous Road Trip
I’ve taken countless road trips over the years, but they’ve usually been uncomfortable and aggravating (when riding with family). Grab your friends or your bae, and just get on the road. I am very much a type-a personality, I love planning and structure, yet some of the best memories I’ve ever had have been random adventures. There are amazing things to be discovered in the unknown, go find some.
Learn a New Skill
This could include a variety of things. Learning how to sew, how to play an instrument, how to swim (cuz sis is struggling), all of these not only a great ways to pass the time by, but they could be beneficial to you in the long run! These newly acquired skills could get you a new job or even give you the push to enter entrepreneurship (whoop whoop), you never know what doors could be opened. And even if it doesn’t lead to anything, I think the experience in and of itself will be worth it, so just learn something new!
I hope these bucket list tips were helpful, let me know what other things you have on your own bucket list in the comments below and on our social media pages!
