September is Self-Improvement Month, and with it inching up in just a few short days I thought the last post of this summer quarter would be dedicated to activities you need to be doing to get yourself right! We are a self-development brand, so you know we had to jump on this one. Let’s get to it!
Schedule a Therapy Appointment
We have preached time and time again how important seeking professional help is to one’s self-development. You don’t have to sign up for regular visits if you aren’t ready just yet, but at least schedule one appointment to try it out. Make sure you research different therapists thoroughly to choose the best one possible because if you pick a therapists that is not aligned with you as an individual, your view of therapy as a whole will be tainted. Take your time and choose wisely!
Log Off Social Media for One Week
Social media is a blessing and a curse – lately it seems to be feeling more like the latter. The internet can be a toxic place, so take some time away to re-center and regroup. Find yourself outside of your online persona, it often consumes us more than we realize. In the meantime, you could find a new hoppy…
Find a New Relaxing Hobby
Since you have some more free time, being away from social media and all, this is the perfect time to discover new things that relax you. Try meditating, painting, yoga, anything healthy that would put your mind at ease. This way, when you do ease social media back into your life, you’ll be more likely to gravitate towards that new hobby than Instagram when you need an escape.
Start Journaling Daily
Journaling is another activity I’ve preached about numerous times and I’m not letting up any time soon. It’s transformed my life in more ways than one. Whether you just start with a basic diary, gratitude lists or manifestation journal, it will change your perspective and provide a release for you. I write in my manifestation journal every morning and list 10 things I’m thankful for from that day in my gratitude lists every night. Journaling allows you to step outside of your situation in the moment and look at the big picture, so test it out!
